Do

Stretching is super important. |
What
kind of training/exercises are you doing at the gym?
I run, ride the bike and lift weights for my arms and knee. I also
want to start taking spinning and kickboxing classes. |

What
is your fav. book?
My favorite
book is "The Perks of being a Wallflower" It's a book-journal
about a freshman in high school who isn't the most popular kid. It
talks about all the experiences he goes through. Its cool to see the
world from another perspective of person. |

What
equipment could be improved for wakeboarding?
I
think the biggest thing that could be improved would be bindings that
release when you take hard falls. It would help save more people from
being injured. |

When
did you start wake boarding?
August of 1996
How old are you? 19
How did you get started?
My dad got me to try it one day and I have been hooked ever since.
Tina Bessinger soon after helped me learn a lot of tricks.
Who inspires you?
My brother Gregg because of the way he rides. I hope one day I can
do a double grab 180 the way he does! And also my best friend Lisa.
She's not a pro or anything but when she rides, she's
always got a smile on her face, no matter how hard she falls!
|
|
What
advice do you have for girls who are just learning to ride?
Ride for fun and for yourself,
not because you want money,
guys or sponsors. They will come if it's meant to be.

school do you go to?
Valencia Community College, major will most likely be Business.
How
did you meet your first sponsor?
I competed in my first pro tour stop in April of 1997 to gain more
exposure for women and show that there were other
women wakeboarders out there. I didn't expect to qualify but I did
and ended up 3rd in my first contest. This was also the qualifier
for the X-Games. So
that weekend, I had many different offers from people and found
my first sponsor.
What
is your favorite trick?
540 or Tantrum to Fakie
|
|
|
|
What
trick are you working on?
Well I'm actually working on getting all my tricks back because
of knee surgery! After that, who knows, maybe a heelside 5 or tootise
roll.
Which
competition do you look forward to most?
I have always liked the Masters even though that's where I fell
and hurt myself. Its just such a
prestigious contest. My second favorite would have to be X-Games.
That's where all the hot guys are :)

When I'm nervous I just tell myself to relax a bit and everything
will be fine.
When I'm down I either call or see a friend away at college or I
go to the gym and work out my stress and problems.
What
is the universe saying to you?
SMILE MORE, WORRY LESS!
