Who's got time to stay home? Alicia Katsur tells XGIRLSPORT what to do on the weekend...

What do you like most? Speed.
It's an outlet.
& moguls!
Why? Speed is doing something dangerous and getting away with it. It's a thrill - pushing the limits, being boarderline in control, almost out of control, just before you bring it back: that moment.

started: skiing at 4. skateboard at 10. At 13, snowboards weren't allowed at the mtn near me, I borrowed a friends' board and we tried it out on the tree trails. did you take lessons? I learn by watching.
happiest moment? Winning the mogul competition at Killington. (after 3 years of trying!)
advice to beginning snowboarders?
give it full 3 days, stick with it: you will advance sooner than you think.
fav color? sky blue

pets? Norton the dog just died.
what is the Universe saying? Everybody's insane!

compete professionally?
I did the Green Mtn. snowboard series. There is a lot of waiting. Turning something you like into a job, it turns into stress. The opposite of you were doing it in the first place. I would rather enjoy riding.

sandboarding? Yea! I went in September, I've been wanting to try it for a long time. where? Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina (near Nag's Head). The runs are about 100 yards. the secret to gliding? a spray of WD40 on the board, tip-to-tail for each run. It won't budge with out it - you can even feel the breaks start to kick in at the bottum of the run.

How do you get the board to slide??? Coat it with WD40!

how was the 24 hrs of Allamuchy bike race? Long. My second lap was 2.5hrs in the dark, in the woods - like Blair Witch.
gear essentials?
Strong lights from Nite Rider for helmet & handlebar.
Reserve batteries by only running helmet light on technical sections. There is a charger on the course, but you have to get to it. :)
