Fototgrapher & writer Anna Paula Negrao met Patty Segovia by e-mail and came from Brazil to the AGSJ to skate and report for Check It Out mag. She placed 7th in the Amateur Mini-Ramp. Ana Paula plays volleyball and swims, she wants to try Snowboarding! 1st Place Pro Mini Ramp: Cara-Beth Burnside Flies!
Ultra CB paves the way for skate girls everywhere, equally talented on soft powder and smooth pavemnet Cara-Beth divides her riding time between skateboard and snowboard, look for an Xgirlsport interview with CB soon!
20 year old Lauren Mollica lives in NYC and has been riding for 8 years. She started skating because her older brothers skated, now she rides for Gallaz, and Rookie Skateboards. Lauren's fav. place to skate in Brooklyn is over by BAM. In NYC she goes downtown to skate under the Brooklyn Bridge.

Elissa Steamer. 1st Place Pro Street, and #1 on the street.

Visiting from Germany, snowboarder Lucy is just starting to skate and came to check out the scene.

Ashley Mull is 19 and skating for 4 years. She placed 2nd in Amateur Mini Ramp. Her sponsor is McGills Skate Shop. Ashley lives in Encinitas CA, and also surfs & snowboards.
Amy Caron from San Francisco, has been skating for 7 years. Her fav. place in S.F. for skating is Pier 7. She rides for Miken Clothing, Arcade, Gallaz and Ghetto Sk8 shop. Amy goes for a healthy mix of terrain by boarding surf & snow too. Cnan Omer (left) placed 4th in Pro Street and Pro Mini Ramp.
Louise Henult-Ethier from Canada (middle) placed 5th in Pro Mini Ramp & 8th in Pro Street. Pro Mtn Board rider Carolyn Kunkel (right) brought her giant rig, see Carolyn's crazy stair action in Central Park, NY on the Xgirlsport SkatePage.

It's Bow Saloti!
1st place winner of the Grom Division.
Pronounce her name Bow, like Bow & Arrow (the source of direction and drive). 7 1/2 years old and skating for almost half her life. Bow is definately one to watch!

High energy Mary Seid is #6 in Amateur Mini-Ramp.
She goes to GrossMontHigh (sorry no skating allowed at school), & her favorite place to skate is the Mission Valley YMCA Skate Park, CA.

Liza Araujo Editor & Art Director of Check It Out, is promoting her mag. and girls in the skate scene. 1st Place Amateur Mini Ramp, Rodi Muenzl from Germany is 23 and skatingboarding for 4years. Rodi rides for Etnies & liked the opportunity to skate in a competition with other girls at the All Girl Skate Jam, in Europe she is usually the only girl and competes against guys.
